If you’ve ever wanted to step into one of the world’s most famous paintings, here’s your chance. Just outside of Paris is the astonishing house of Claude Monet in Giverny, where you can stand among his famous water lilies and see where the master himself once lived.
Knowing that Monet was one of the fathers of Impressionism and created countless marvelous works that changed the course of art history makes us want to see, walk and exist in the last house that Monet ever lived in.

There are several tours organized by travel agencies, or you can go by yourself via the local train that departs from the Saint Lazare Station. Take the train that leaves from Paris towards Rouen or Le Havre and get off at Vernon, which is the closest stop to Giverny and is approximately 45 minutes outside of Paris. Once in Vernon, shuttle buses depart every 15 minutes directly to Giverny.

These are some things you can’t miss. The Clos Normand garden is in front of the house and is filled with lots of rare flowers.
