Top Hill Club

Undoubtedly the most popular club in the region, Top Hill has been providing audiences with dancing fuel since opening in the summer of 2010. Internationally famous DJs such as Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz and David Morales have performed here over the years, making this Budva’s party central during the busy summer months. Top Hill is excess in excess, a laser and light-filled night of debauchery and madness.

The Old Fisherman's Pub

It might not be quite as cantankerous as the name suggests, but Budva’s Old Fisherman’s Pub is a must-visit when in town. A great beer selection collides with comforting food and some truly magnificent views of the seas to create a fantastic option on the Adriatic coast. The beer selection is particularly impressive with many continental craft beers available alongside regional options.

Casper Bar

An idyllic old town joint ringed by pine trees and a sense of true serenity, Casper Bar offers something a little more tranquil as opposed to the chaotic beach clubs that Budva is known for. This a charmer with a considerable collection of craft beers, with the focus on quality over quantity. Casper Bar is undoubtedly the sort of place you’ll find yourself returning to time and time again.

Trocadero

One of Budva’s classic nightclubs, Trocadero remains more than happy to subvert all the predictable clubbing tropes. This is absolutely a love/hate kind of place and we’re certainly happy in the former category, despite the lack of obvious dance floor and the colossal volume. Balkan turbo folk dominates the playlist as the revellers find themselves transfixed on the intense light show that attracts party-goers like moths to flame. Party, party, and a little more party.

The Prince Pub

Pub, Bar, Contemporary

While it unfortunately seems to have nothing to do with the iconic purple genius we lost back in 2016, The Prince Pub is one of the best British-style boozers in Montenegro. The combination of location and offer make this a natural winner, although there is still something jarring about drinking a cold pint of Guinness as the Adriatic Sea stretches out in front of you. A prepossessing pub and then some.

Beer-Bike Club

You can expect plenty of this at Budvas Beer-Bike Club

You know what you are going to get from a place called Beer-Bike Club. Expect plenty of leather, beards, lounging and beers. The local bikers dominate the place so it is often difficult to find somewhere to sit down, but arrive early and that shouldn’t be a problem. Obviously you’ll then find yourself knocking back pints from early in the day, so don’t think about riding here and back. Best to call a cab.

Sparta

Another summertime beach boomer in Budva, Sparta has taken the summer off in 2018 in order to prepare for a bumper 2019 in a brand new location. It has undoubtedly left a large hole in Budva’s nightlife scene this summer, and locals and visitors alike will be thrilled to see the self-professed ‘classy club for classy people’ make its return next summer.

Hemingway Bar

Ernest Hemingway was known for his fondness for a tipple or two, so it is no surprise to hear that the bar takes his name in Budva is a fine choice for a night out. Some of the best cocktails in the city are found at this spot near the old town so if you’re after colourful concoctions then you know where to go. It can get very busy in the summer evenings so a reservation is a good idea — it is definitely worth it.

Paris Club

Nightclub, Contemporary

A little bit of French style in the heart of Montenegro’s coastline. Well, by ‘French style’ we mean ‘Balkan party chaos’, albeit Balkan party chaos with a massive lit-up Eiffel Tower in the centre of it all. This is the sort of place that opens late and closes even later, where you can dance from late at night all the way through to ’til morning.

Chest O'Sheas

Pub, Contemporary

We’ll finish our tour of Budva’s nightlife with a stop at the old town’s resident Irish Pub, complete with an unusual moniker and buckets of alcohol. The Guinness flows through the place (not literally), a bar that ticks all of the Irish Pub boxes and then some. Chest O’Shea’s is also one of the best places in Budva to watch live sport, so stop by whether you are after Liverpool vs. Manchester United or Rudar Pljevlja vs. FK Sutjeska Nikšić.
