Ravintola Trattoria Il Faro

Colloquially and simply known as ‘Il Faro,’ this Mediterranean-style restaurant is one of the oldest in Herttoniemi Ranta. Located right near the docks of the Helsinki channel, the beautiful views of the sea and surrounding Helsinki (including the castle) make this restaurant highly popular with both locals and tourists, particularly in the warm summer months. The braised lamb shank or the spaghetti with artichoke and fennel come highly recommended. There are also plenty of pizza and vegetarian options, and for those still hungry, Il Faro offers a lovely dessert menu with their tiramisu being a local favourite. They also offer an a la carte menu, available during lunch and dinner hours.
